Des scénarios seront examinés dans le but de sensibiliser les participants aux diverses composantes du racisme et de la discrimination raciale dans la société canadienne contemporaine. Une analyse critique servira à explorer le rôle des valeurs dans la lutte contre le racisme et la discrimination raciale. Le partage des pratiques prometteuses permettra aux participants d’approfondir leurs connaissances en matière de lutte contre le racisme, qu’elle soit explicite ou implicite.
Angela Connors is an Ojibway from the Saugeen First Nation Beaver Clan whose passion for social justice has been fuelled by her ancestry and forged by over two decades of experience in the non-profit sector and organized labour. In 2010 Angela’s work was recognized by the City of Toronto as a recipient of the Access, Equity and Human Rights Aboriginal Affairs Award. She is currently leading the Embracing Inclusion project for ONESTEP & OCASI.
Dipal’s passion for social inclusion stems from her experiences as an immigrant to Canada, in her teenage years, and as a woman of South Asian descent. With over 10 years experience in the social inclusion field, she has carried out several key projects for the provincial and federal government that have impacted people with developmental disabilities, immigrants, visible minorities and the aboriginal community. She is the founder of D&D inclusion Consulting frequently writes and presents on diversity and inclusion.
Louise Sauvé-Dubois is a consultant in diversity and inclusion and also brings a francophonie lens to the field. In 1992, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from York University, Glendon College. Having worked for more than twenty years in her field, she acquired a wide range of knowledge and application of different frameworks for diversity and inclusion. She is presently involved in the Embracing Inclusion and Connectivité projects.
