Jeffrey Reitz is the Director of Ethnic, Immigration and Pluralism Studies and a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto. Hecontinues to examine the social, economic and political experiences of immigrant and ethnic populations, and has a number of projects underway in Canada. His current comparative research examines the experience of Muslim immigration in France, Quebec and Canada, based on extensive quantitative data and new qualitative interviews. This project is supported by a Marie Curie International Fellowship from the European Commission, and a grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. During 2012-2014 he was affiliated with L’école des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
