Dr. Ingrid Johnston is a Professor of English Education and Curriculum Studies in the Department of Secondary Education at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. She grew up in Britain and South Africa, where she completed a BA and teaching diploma at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Currently she teaches courses in Postcolonial Theories, Issues and Curriculum. Her research focuses on postcolonial literary studies, multicultural literary education, questions of culture, migration and teacher education.
