Karim H. Karim, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Carleton University in Ottawa. Prior to teaching, he worked as a journalist for the Rome-based Inter Press Service, and for the Luxemburg-based Compass News Features. He has published on the social aspects of traditional and new media, diasporic communication, transnational news flows, and the depiction of various peoples.
