This document presents an overview of submissions made to the CACE during a series of consultations on the creation of an Afrocentric Learning Institute in Nova Scotia.These consultations took place on March 20th, 26th, and 27th, 1999 in Halifax at the Citadel Hotel. 

The first section discusses the major plans and considerations of the ALI initiative, including its philosophy, mission and projected clientèle. In the second part of the report five guest consultants, namely, Dr. Molefi Kete Asante, Dr. Jo-ann Archibald, Dr. Stan Shapson, Dr. Vincent D'Oyley, and Ms. Cherreka Montgomery, offer their insight on the establishment and operation of similar ventures throughout North America.

Ce document présente un aperçu des soumissions présentées à l’ACACE au cours d’une série de consultations sur la création d’un institut d’apprentissage afrocentrique en Nouvelle-Écosse. Ces consultations ont eu lieu les 20, 26 et 27 mars 1999 à l’hôtel Citadel de Halifax.

La première section traite des principaux plans et considérations de l’initiative ALI, notamment de sa philosophie, de sa mission et de sa clientèle future. Dans la deuxième partie du rapport, cinq consultants invités, à savoir le Dr. Molefi Kete Asante, le Dr. Jo-ann Archibald, le Dr. Stan Shapson, le Dr. Vincent D'Oyley et Mme Cherreka Montgomery, donnent leur point de vue sur l'établissement. et l'exploitation d'entreprises similaires dans toute l'Amérique du Nord.
