Mary Jo Leddy

Mary Jo Leddy is a distinguised social activist, writer and broadcaster, and member of the Romero House community. She was the founding editor of Catholic New Times and is the author of Memories of WarPromises of PeaceReweaving Religious Life; and Say to the Darkness, We Beg to Differ, which was a finalist in the 1991 city of Toronto Book Awards. She is co-author, with Bishop Remi De Roo and Douglas Roche, of In the Eye of the Catholic Storm. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and lectures throughout North America. In 1996 she received the Order of Canada for her humanitarian work.
