The guests were welcomed by Mark Persaud, a renowned Canadian lawyer and CIPP Founder. The keynote speaker, Irvin Studin, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of the Global Brief, reflected on Canada's yet unrealized multicultural potential and its frail projection into the international arena. The speech was a reminder that, despite Canada's celebrated mosaic, much more needs to be done to capitalize on our ethnic and cultural diversity.
The event was attended by a number of political dignitaries, NGOs, representatives of academic bodies and student associations. CRRF was represented by Aren Sarikyan.
