On Monday, September 29, the All-Party Forum held by the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF) promises to be an engaging opportunity to hear Ontario's three major political parties present their views on immigration. The Forum will be held from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Council Chambers at Metro Hall, at 55 John Street.
A representative from the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party, Michael Bryant from the Ontario Liberal Party and Rosario Marchese from the Ontario New Democratic Party will deliver an opening statement and answer questions on immigration policies and related issues that affect immigrant, refugees and racialized communities in Ontario. The event will be co-moderated by Uzma Shakir, President of OCASI and Pat Case, Chair of the CRRF.
OCASI is the umbrella organization for more than 150 immigrant and refugee-serving organizations in Ontario. The CRRF was created by the Federal Government in 1996 to "foster racial harmony and cross-cultural understanding and help to eliminate racism."
