Welcome to the Canadian Race Relations Book Club for Teachers
The Book Club is intended to be just that, a book club but with a couple of significant differences. This book club is for teachers, teachers of all grades and levels, from the primary grades to the secondary school classrooms.
The Book Club will meet 3 – 4 times per year. Each session is limited to 15 participants.
Each session will have a focus, a specific topic of current interest, and all the titles shared will reflect that focus.
Takeaways for participants include an introduction to numerous books on topics of current interest, ranging from picture books to young adult literature that can be used in the classroom with their own students; engaging and effective teaching strategies; meaningful discussion; and an opportunity to connect with other like-minded educators.
