The discussion, hosted by the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the University of Ottawa and the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, took place on March 29th 2011 at the Museum of Nature in Ottawa. Ideas host Paul Kennedy moderated the dialogue, which included many questions from the audience of about 300 people.
Irshad Manji is the critically acclaimed author of The Trouble With Islam Today. The New York Times bestseller was published in more than 30 countries, although it was banned in many others. The free Arabic, Urdu and Farsi editions she posted on her website have been downloaded more than one million times.
Manji’s latest book, Allah, Liberty and Love, was just released in June 2011.
