TORONTO, October 24, 2012 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, I am pleased to inform you that the Foundation's Board of Directors has designated one of its members, Rubin Friedman, as the Principal Operating Officer of the Foundation, effective immediately.
Mr. Friedman is responsible for maintaining an efficient oversight and transition of the CRRF's operations, pending the appointment of a new Executive Director under the Canadian Race Relations Foundation Act.
Mr. Friedman is eminently qualified and experienced with human rights issues in both the public and private sectors. His diverse experience includes a distinguished career with the federal government. He was Executive Director of Japanese Canadian Redress, Director of Community Support and Participation, and Head of French and English test development for the Public Service, where he dealt with Human Rights, multiculturalism, Official Languages, community development and integration of minorities.
