Gina Valle speaks several languages and holds a PhD in Teacher Education & Multicultural Studies from OISE, University of Toronto. Dr. Valle is the recipient of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for her significant contribution to diversity in Canada, and the Ordine al Merito from the National Congress of Italian Canadians, in recognition of her dedication to the advancement of diversity in Canadian society.
A diversity champion, she is an educator, curriculum developer, facilitator, author of Our Grandmothers Ourselves and Teachers at Their Best -Enseignant sous leur meilleurjour, curator of the photo exhibit Legacies which focuses on immigrant women, and has been showcased at Canadian Embassies in Asia, Scandinavia and the Middle East. She is also producer and director of an award-wining interfaith documentary.
Gina is Chair of New Canadian Media and a member of OMNI TV's Advisory Council, and was invited to be a mentor for young girls at the Jean Augustine Girl's Leadership Academy, the first of its kind in the Ontario public school system. Gina is owner of a unique publishing house, At One Press,where she launched, in partnership with UNESCO, a multilingual book for children, The Best of All Worlds -Le meilleur monde imaginable.
She is the founder of Diversity Matters, and lives in Toronto with her husband and two sons.
