Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch

Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch is a well-known Canadian author of historical fiction and in honour of her grandfather’s experience, she always writes about bits of history that have been willfully forgotten. She has written three books inspired by her grandfather’s internment: Silver Threads, a picture book illustrated by Michael Martchenko (2004, Fitzhenry & Whiteside), Prisoners in the Promised Land: The Ukrainian Internment Diary of Anya Soloniuk (2007, Scholastic) and Dance of the Banished (Pajama Press, 1914). Her best-known novel is Making Bombs for Hitler (Scholastic, 2012/2017)
