Garnett Picot

Garnett Picot is a research fellow at the IRPP, providing advice on the Diversity, Immigration and Integration research program, which investigates the labour market integration of immigrants. He has written more than 50 papers over the past two decades on topics such as immigrant economic integration, earnings inequality, poverty, job stability, worker displacement, and job creation and destruction. He is a fellow at the Queen’s University School of Policy Studies, where he also teaches, and a research fellow at Statistics Canada, where he was until recently director general of research.
