Remi Warner is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
His current areas of focus at the Commission include human rights and responsibilities based on religion, creed, and race-related grounds, as well as human rights for Aboriginal Peoples in Ontario. He also supports the Commission's human rights organizational change work with diverse Ontario institutional partners, including the policing sector.
Remi has a Masters of Arts in Culture, Race and Difference from Sussex University and a PhD. in Social Anthropology from York University, where he was a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology for over 10 years. Prior to joining the Commission, Remi also worked as a researcher and policy consultant on anti-racism and equity issues, including with at risk youth and persons in the correctional and mental health system.
