Michael F. Charles is a case resolution advisor at York University's Centre for Human Rights, and principal of Change DeZign, a management consulting firm providing strategic diversity, inclusion and organization development services to large organizations in the private, non-profit and public service sectors.
Prior to launching the consultancy, Mr. Charles practiced law for more than 10 years, advocating at all levels of court including the Court of Appeal, as a member of the Ontario Bar. Reflecting his professional pursuits, Mr. Charles currently sits on the Canadian Executive Committee of Human Rights Watch, the world's leading independent organization dedicated to defending and advocating for human rights in over 90 countries. He holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
