Bobby Sahni has over 12 years of corporate multicultural marketing experience and is considered a veteran and leader in the industry. Bobby was the Head of Multicultural Marketing at Rogers Communications for many years and has been a pioneer in developing, executing and managing diversity and multicultural marketing initiatives for a number of best-in-class organizations including Canada Post, Star Content Studios, OLG, BBC World News and ICICI Bank.
He recently co-founded Ethnicity, a multicultural marketing & advertising agency dedicated to helping companies drive new growth and sales by engaging North America’s fast-growing and big-spending ethnic communities. Bobby has earned international recognition for his work including multiple awards from NAMIC (National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications) and CTAM (Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing) both based in the United States.
Bobby also loves teaching, having guest- lectured at many universities on the topic of multicultural marketing and regularly speaks at industry events and conferences across North America. Starting this fall, he will be teaching a course on Strategic Multicultural Marketing & Sales Planning at the Schulich School of Business Executive Education Centre.
Bobby earned his joint MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and the Schulich School of Business (York University). He also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and spent some time studying cross-cultural management in Hong Kong and Germany.
Bobby is also an experienced Actor, MC, TV Host and “go-to-guy” for various ethnic talent, musicians and producers. You may have previously seen Bobby in one of many television or film appearances or hosting various corporate and community events. Bobby sits on the Board of Directors for the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, the Reel Asian Film Festival, the Punjabi International Film Festival and is an honorary chair for Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer in support of the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
