How do we create communities where all residents are welcomed and included, and have quality of life? How can diversity add to the social and economic vibrancy of the community? How can urban centres engage and integrate populations who might be marginalized in the social, economic, cultural and political life of their communities? Whether you are just beginning to explore these questions or are already working hard at advancing inclusion in your community, you’ll want to attend this concurrent session. Representatives from urban centres across Canada will share their approaches and strategies with us as we dive deeper into the intersection of complex issues in the urban environment with the goal of increasing our capacity to counter racism and discrimination, dismantle systemic barriers, and make our diverse, urban centres welcoming and inclusive for all.
