Abstract English
This report is a literature review of anti-racist education, which the authors deem critical in light of the equity and anti-racist policy initiatives by the Ontario government in 1992. The report looks at various educational approaches inside and outside the classroom in order to help schools, communities, students and staff effectively implement anti-racist initiatives.
Quotations
In response to these developments, government policy has begun to address the issues of diversity and equity in education. In 1992, the Ontario government responded to theses concerns by passing Bill 21 which gives the Minister of Education and Training authority to develop and implement anti-racist and ethnocultural equity policies.
