Brian Rochat is a Labour Market Facilitator and Human Resources Management professional with a specialization in diversity and inclusion.
Brian was born in Swaziland and spent his formative years in both Canada and South Africa. During high school, in post-Apartheid South Africa, Brian developed a passion for diversity, equity, inclusion and conflict resolution. Returning to Canada for University, Brian completed a B.A. at the University of Manitoba and Human Resources Management Diploma at Red River College. He has received extensive training in facilitation and mediation.
In 2007 Brian joined the Canadian Centre for Diversity and spent six years developing and facilitating diversity and inclusion educational strategies and professional training. Brian currently works for Community Living Manitoba as a Labour Market Facilitator for the national Ready, Willing and Able initiative. His primarily role as a Labour Market Facilitator is to develop labour market participation and inclusion of people with disabilities; he works in close liaison with businesses, governments, communities and supported employment agencies.
Brian has provided, and remains engaged in, diversity and inclusion consulting services within the private, public and non-profit sectors throughout Canada. As a consultant Brian offers a range of services from the development and delivery of professional development and inclusion workshops to employment equity training, mediation, systems and policy analysis, recommendations and implementation strategies.
